Donna McDonnell – Instructional Technology Specialist
Donna currently works in the Billerica Public School System as an Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) for Grades Kindergarten to Grade Five. This is her eighth year in the district but her 24th year teaching. Donna’s background includes a BA in Elementary/Special Education from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire and a M.Ed. in Technology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Donna taught special education for 13 years before becoming an ITS. She loves teaching and inspiring her students to create all things tech. She strives to keep up with current educational technology trends and is a member of MassCUE and ISTE.
My name is Christine Donoghue. I teach at two elementary schools. My class is treated as a “Special” just like Music, Art, and Gym. I teach every other week for 45 minutes a class, grades K through 5. The number of students I teach is about 800 in number.
My background is that I was a corporate trainer teaching people how to use Microsoft Office for more than 20 years. I have been teaching children for 7 years now.
My education background is that I finished my undergrad at UMass Lowell (after also attending UMass-Amherst, and UMass Boston) and I finished my MBA at night at Bentley. I finished my Masters of Education in Instructional Technology, at Lesley University in 2013.
My Google Earth and Sketchup training was at the feet of my predecessor, Beryl Reid. (We overlapped by one year.) She is currently retired from Billerica Public Schools but she has been sent by Google around Europe and the U.S. to teach. She is very active on the Google forums under the name of BerylDrue. For the other Google Apps I have used AtomicLearning.com to train, as well as following certain industry leaders’ blogs. I finished a workshop at the Boston Public Library, Norman P. Leventhal Map Center, just this summer.
I gave a workshop at MassCue in 2013 about Sketchup and Augmented Reality. Currently I’m experimenting with Google Cardboard.

Digital Learning Specialist
Manchester Essex Regional Middle High School
I consider myself a geek and embrace the fact that I really enjoy learning, problem solving, and technology. I have been a math teacher for over ten years and an Instructional Technology Specialist for three.
Recently I have returned to Massachusetts after spending nine years Michigan. There I was head of a 1:1 program that launched in 2012 and began presenting at edtech conferences. My goal is to guide users through integrating technology into their daily routines safely, efficiently, and effectively.I am a proponent of authentic learning, modernizing traditional methods and of course, fun.
Currently, I am waiting patiently for my husband to join me with our tiny house so we can continue to dote on our dog Sally and get reacquainted with New England.
