Neuropsychological evaluations are conducted to assess skills and abilities linked to brain function. This session will aim to summarize the components of neuropsychological evaluations, connect theory to practice, and breakdown how the areas assessed through this evaluation may manifest in the school setting. Additionally, interventions based on the most frequently occurring educational disabilities assessed through neuropsychological evaluations will be discussed.

In this workshop we will examine anxiety based school avoidance and chronic absenteeism. We will discuss best practices for monitoring, identify at risk students, provide frameworks for early intervention and discuss ways of effectively working with students and families to increase school attendance.
